
Uzbekistan's Delegation Heads to Germany for 2025 Summer Universiade
The prestigious multi-sport event will take place July 16–27 across six cities in the Rhine-Ruhr region — including Duisburg, Bochum, Essen, Hagen, and Mülheim.
On July 14, Uzbekistan’s official delegation departed for Germany to take part in the 32nd Summer World University Games (Universiade).
This year’s Universiade is expected to gather over 8,500 student-athletes from around 150 countries, all competing for 234 sets of medals across 18 sports, making it one of the largest sporting gatherings for university-level athletes.
Team Uzbekistan will be represented in 11 disciplines:
- Archery
- Artistic Gymnastics
- Athletics
- Diving
- Judo
- Rhythmic Gymnastics
- Rowing
- Swimming
- Table Tennis
- Taekwondo
- Tennis
The official opening ceremony will take place on July 16 at the Schauinsland-Reisen Arena in Duisburg.
