Mukhriddin Tilov Claims Bronze at Grand Slam in Astana

On the opening day of the Grand Slam Judo Tournament in Astana, Uzbekistan’s national team secured its first medal — a bronze won by Mukhriddin Tilov in the -66 kg weight category.

After a setback in the quarterfinals against neutral athlete Ramazan Abdullayev, Tilov rebounded strongly. He overcame Baurjan Narbayev of Kazakhstan in the repechage round and went on to defeat Ziyang Sue of China in the bronze medal bout.

This podium finish marks a solid start for Team Uzbekistan at one of the year’s key judo events.
