Boxing: International tournament started in Chirchik

An international boxing tournament dedicated to “May 9 - Day of Memory and Honors” has started in the sports complex of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sport, located in the city of Chirchik.

About 200 boxers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Republic of Korea, Philippines, China and Chinese Taipei will take part in it. Dozens of young boxers are preparing to defend the honor of our country, including world and continental champions, participants of the Olympic Games.

Yesterday 28 fights were held: in 16 of them our compatriots fought each other, in 12 - with foreign rivals.
