AFC Champions League. Matchday Two in Numbers

In arguably the biggest story of the week, Iraq staged its first ever AFC Champions League game, but there were plenty more moments of note, as the-AFC.com looks back at the week in numbers.

27,500 – A vibrant crowd turned out to watch the first ever AFC Champions League match to be played in Iraq. They left happy as Al Zawraa defeated Al Wasl 5-0.

4 – Graziano Pelle followed his brace against Gyeongnam FC with another double in the draw with Kashima Antlers. The Italian is the tournament’s leading scorer.

5 – Al Ain’s Tsukasa Shiotani has now scored in five different competitions this season: AFC Champions League, AFC Asian Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, UAE Pro League and UAE League Cup.

3 – Just three teams have yet to concede on the continent so far: Al Zawraa, Ulsan Hyundai and Urawa Red Diamonds (pictured).

106 – The weekly high number of successful passes made by Kengo Nakamura in Kawasaki Frontale’s 1-0 win over Sydney FC.

11 – It’s goals galore when Al Ittihad are involved, with Matchday One’s 5-1 win over Al Rayyan followed by a 4-1 defeat to Al Wahda. No team’s matches have seen more goals.

20 – Melbourne Victory have still yet to record an AFC Champions League win away from home. Their 2-1 defeat at Sanfrecce Hiroshima takes their winless run on the road to 20.

7 – Jaloliddin Masharipov created more chances than any other player, with his seven in Pakhtakor’s win over Al Ahli matching Oscar’s total from Matchday One.

3 – Johor Darul Ta’zim dominated large spells of their 1-1 draw with Gyeongnam FC and hit the woodwork a weekly high three times.
